opinion on this matter the answer is heck no! ISIS is a major problem but it is a problem that the people in the countries concerned need to learn how to handle. Donald Trump wants to send troops there but as far as I am concerned he can go himself.
Every battle is not for Americans to go fight and die in. The loss of life and limb of our troops is real and so is the trauma caused by the hardships of war.
On defeating Islamic State militants, Trump said the key is to take away their wealth by taking back the oil fields under their control in Iraq. I don’t fully agree with him here but American troops should not be thrown at everybody else’s problems.
The major problem that I have with this concept is that US troops are thrown into the fray whenever there is a problem but discarded like old clothing as soon as the perceived problem has been solved.
I believe that any commander in chief who has such a casual attitude about using our troops in battle is out of touch with reality and is not fit to be our leader.
I live in a military town and see the results of our forays into other countries first hand. I think we can all understand when there is a real national emergency where the lives of Americans are at stake but our troops should not be used to protect the interests of the wealthy.
